Terms of Service
General
In purchasing a ticket for a UKLTA event you are...
- Funding the hire of a site for that event. This is where the overwhelming majority of the money goes.
- Funding expenses for the game runner(s) to put on the game(s) at that event. There may be more than one game run at an event.
What we provide to you
The UKLTA and its game runner(s) will...
- Run the advertised event and game(s), broadly in alignment with what was advertised and give you access to it.
- Ensure our Public Liability Insurance and Risk Assessment for the event are up to date to allow you to attend in safety.
- Enforce our Code of Conduct to allow you to attend in safety.
- Make sure your personal information is used responsibly, in accordance with our Privacy and GDPR policy, only in ways that are necessary to run the event effectively and administer your membership of the UKLTA. This personal information may be shared with the game runner(s) and other third parties for the event in question.
- A commitment that the venues we use will have acceptable basic toilet/shower/washroom facilities.
- Use of loan Laser-Tag equipment on request. This is free for your first year of attendance at UKLTA's events. There will be a £10 returnable cash deposit per item.
What we don't provide
- Accommodation, our events are 100% camping with no bunk spaces.
- Catering, this may be available separately from the venue.
What we expect of you
We require you to...
- Be a member of the UKLTA to attend any event. Membership is available to those aged 16+, but those under 18 must be accompanied to any event by an adult parent or guardian as a full participant.
- Have read and understood the information about the event, before booking. This is so you are clear on the style of game(s) it consists of and about any accessibility issues pertinent to you personally. If you have any doubts if the event is 'for you' or 'accessible to you' please contact the Event Co-ordinator before booking.
- Be communicative with the UKLTA and/or game runner(s) in advance of the event, when necessary, lest this spoil your experience at the event.
- Comply with our Code of Conduct before, during and after the event.
- Comply with our General Rules and any event specific rules at the event.
- Read and be mindful of the Risk Assessment done for the event to ensure your own safety, and the safety of others, at the event.
Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct, General Rules or any event specific rules may lead to being asked to leave and potentially being barred from future events.
Event refund policy
Our standard refund policy is...
- 100% if more than six weeks in advance of the event
- 50% if more than two weeks in advance of the event
- 0% refund if requested within two weeks of the event
...you should contact the UKLTA Event Co-ordinator as soon as is practical to arrange a refund and so that game organisers can be informed. Even if it is a last minute thing, please do us the courtesy of contacting us so we can inform the game runner(s) and see if the space can be transferred.
Ticket transfers
You are free to transfer your ticket to another person but you must inform the UKLTA Event Co-ordinator as soon as is practical and provide them with a means to contact them. That person will need to be a member of the UKLTA to attend any event and to accept these Terms of Service.
